The one destination that has always been, and always will be, in my top three picks is this amazing country of ours, which I am fortunate to call home. For 2016, we are once again excited and proud to offer you a range of fantastic itineraries, including some great new ones too. Whether you have never visited the Aussie Outback, or you have been visiting longer than me, you are guaranteed to fall in love with these special parts of Australia. In 1964, I took my first group into the Outback. It was group of students from St Leonard's College on a camping trip to Central Australia. In those days, there were only dirt roads with hardly any accommodation along the way. As I was driving, it made me wonder how the first settlers and early explorers survived this unforgiving land. Since then, access has become a lot easier, however the Outback remains practically untouched, filled with that same spirit and sense of adventure. From that one school excursion, it has been humbling to reflect upon how our Australian Outback program has evolved over the past 50 years. Whether it's standing on the tip of mainland Australia at Cape York, walking along the salt flats of Lake Eyre, cruising the wetlands of the Top End or venturing through the remote Kimberley, we have been fortunate to have shared these special places with so many of our guests, and are honoured to continue to showcase the very best of Outback Australia. Rob, Geoff and Lou McGeary
