35 Day 16. Lake Naivasha, Lake Nakuru National Park. Today brings another opportunity to see some of Africa's most majestic creatures, with a full-day game drive at Lake Nakuru National Park, home to the famous soda-encrusted lake and a huge white rhino population. Marvel at these awe- inspiring creatures bathing in the lake, and take in the incredible surrounding scenery. Rhinos aren't the only mammals to call this national park home. You may also see waterbuck, zebras, baboons, giraffes and big cats. Make a stop for lunch at Sarova Lion Hill Lodge, where you will dine al fresco in the Flamingo Restaurant, and enjoy views onto picturesque Lake Nakuru. Your lunch will include fresh local produce and herbs from the lodge's garden. Return to Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge in the late afternoon for dinner. BLD Day 17. Lake Naivasha, Masai Mara. Today, drive across the Great Rift Valley to the endless plains of the Masai Mara, famous for its leopards, lions and cheetahs. The wide open spaces provide excellent game viewing, which is why this reserve is one of the most well regarded for wildlife in all of Africa. At certain times of the year, you may see herds of wildebeest, gazelle and zebra travelling to and from the Serengeti in search of food during the Great Migration, and the predators who follow them. After lunch this afternoon, head out on an exhilarating game drive. Stay (Three Nights): Masai Mara, Mara Fig Tree Camp. BLD Day 18. Masai Mara. Enhance Your Journey: this morning you might like to experience the Masai Mara from the skies on a magical hot-air balloon ride with breathtaking aerial views (see page 44 for further details). Afterwards, head back to the lodge for a delicious breakfast and a chance to recall all you've just witnessed before heading out on another spectacular afternoon game drive across the Masai Mara's sweeping plains. Keep a close lookout as you are likely to spot wildebeest, elephants, hyenas and the reserve's powerful native big cats, thanks to your expert game driver/tracker. BLD Day 19. Masai Mara. Experience the beauty of an African sunrise as you rise early ahead of today's game drives and discover the morning rituals of some of Africa's world-renowned wildlife. This afternoon once more brings you plenty of opportunities on your game drive, to catch a close-up look at the animals that call the expansive grasslands of the Masai Mara their home. A Taste of Kenya – tonight, delight in an unforgettable bush dinner and experience the flavours of the region. Dine under the African night sky, as you reflect on the day's adventures with your fellow passengers. BLD Day 20. Masai Mara, Nairobi. Farewell the Masai Mara as your journey comes to an end today.
