34 Day 10. Chobe National Park. During this morning's game drive through Chobe National Park delight in the many chances to spot Africa's famous mammals, thanks to the park's high density of elephant herds and lion prides. Buffalos, zebras, antelope, including lechwe may be seen here too, as well as an abundance of birdlife. You will also delight in a cruise along the Chobe River, which offers you a unique way of viewing game and the picturesque African sunset. Later this evening, return to your lodge to enjoy dinner, prepared by expert chefs and set within stunning surrounds. BLD Day 11. Chobe National Park, Livingstone, Johannesburg. Cross the border again today and head to Livingstone airport where 11 Day guests (AFTC11) depart the tour. Take an included flight to Johannesburg and transfer to your hotel. Stay: Johannesburg, Peermont Mondior at Emperors Palace. B Day 12. Johannesburg, Nairobi (Kenya). After breakfast this morning, you'll transfer to Johannesburg airport and board your included flight to Nairobi. From here, transfer to your hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure. This evening, you'll have the opportunity to meet your Kenyan Tour Director. Stay: Nairobi, Eka Hotel. B Day 13. Nairobi, Amboseli National Park. This morning after breakfast, depart for Amboseli, arriving at Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge in time for lunch. Located against the magnificent backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro and in the heart of this world-famous national park, the lodge offers you the perfect base from which to embark on your safari adventure. After lunch and once you have had time to settle into your accommodation, you will enjoy a thrilling afternoon game-viewing drive in the park. Home to Africa's Big Five – lion, buffalo, rhinoceros, elephant and leopard – it is also renowned for its swamps which host hippos and a variety of water fowl. It is a truly incredible spectacle, to see these animals free-ranging across the plains or wallowing in the swamps, which are a major water source for the wildlife here, all with Mt Kilimanjaro looming majestically in the background. You also have an excellent chance of getting up close to the action, thanks to the expertise of your game driver/tracker. Later, today return to the lodge to relax and enjoy an expertly prepared dinner. Stay (Two Nights): Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge. BLD Day 14. Amboseli National Park. This morning, rise early for another exciting day of game viewing, with your expert game driver/tracker on hand to ensure you get the best possible opportunities to see Africa's most stunning creatures. Amboseli National Park is well known in Africa for being the best place to get up close to roaming elephants and with such small groups, you're guaranteed a front-row seat to this fabulous wildlife show. In between game drives in the bush in 4WD vehicles, you'll return to the lodge to relax and indulge in delicious meals. Like a Local – visit a local Maasai village in Amboseli National Park and wander about the huts they have built with their own hands. Delight in their unique and colourful jewellery. This is an intriguing way to learn about their fascinating culture and way of life. BLD Day 15. Amboseli National Park, Nairobi, Lake Naivasha. After breakfast, leave Amboseli and drive to the Karen Blixen Coffee Garden for lunch, located in a beautiful garden setting with blooming flowers, hundred-year-old trees and a large population of birds. Later, head to Naivasha, arriving at Lake Naivasha Sopa in the afternoon. After you settle in, spend time at your leisure. Enhance Your Journey: perhaps explore Crescent Island. Enjoy a boat ride there, then walk among animals including giraffes (own expense, see page 44 for further details). Stay (Two Nights): Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge.
