Day 17. Arusha, Tarangire National Park. Set out by 4WD to your camp, with incredible views over Tarangire National Park. Spend time relaxing before your first game drive. Two Night Stay: Tarangire Balloon Camp. BLD Day 18. Tarangire National Park. The quiet plains of Tarangire National Park are home to wildebeest, zebra, buffalo and impala, but are most famous for the annual elephant migration. Watch for these gentle creatures along with a host of other animals on morning and afternoon game drives today. If you're lucky, you may see the unusual dwarf mongoose and gerenuk, though sightings are very rare. BLD Day 19. Tarangire National Park, Ngorongoro Crater. Meet the children of a small school in Tanzania before continuing to your lodge, set close to the rim of Ngorongoro Crater. Here, you have the chance to take an optional game drive through Lake Manyara National Park. Watch the sun dip behind the crater walls before dinner this evening. Two Night Stay: Ngorongoro Crater, Acacia Farm Lodge. BLD Day 20. Ngorongoro Crater. Enjoy a full-day game drive along the floor of Ngorongoro Crater, including a picnic lunch. The crater's high walls serve as a natural enclosure for an abundance of wildlife. BLD ANCIENT RHYTHMS OF THE SERENGETI Day 21. Olduvai Gorge, Serengeti National Park. Visit one of the world's most important prehistoric sites, Olduvai Gorge, for a private tour and lecture. Watch for wildlife as you travel through World Heritage-listed Serengeti National Park later. Two Night Stay: Serengeti National Park, Four Seasons Safari Lodge Serengeti. Johannesburg, Kasane, Embark River Safari. This morning fly to Kasane in Botswana, then travel by coach and boat into Namibia and transfer to your river ship. During a sunset cruise, watch for the animals that are drawn to the river for a drink at dusk. Tonight, enjoy a Welcome Dinner on board. Two Night Stay: Chobe National Park, Zambezi Queen. BD Day 12. Chobe National Park, Chobe River, Freedom of Choice. A river safari aboard the Zambezi Queen is a relaxed affair, allowing you to enjoy leisurely mornings on board. Relish the riverside scenery as you take breakfast on the deck and prepare for the day's activities. Later, watch for wildlife close to the riverbanks as you cruise along the Chobe River, which attracts huge concentrations of elephants. After lunch, a journey to a local Namibian village offers an unrivalled insight into the local culture or perhaps you would prefer to try your hand at fishing for bream and tigerfish. BLD AWE-INSPIRING VICTORIA FALLS Day 13. Disembark River Safari, Livingstone, Victoria Falls. Disembark your ship after breakfast and cross the border into Botswana then onto Zambia. Arrive at your hotel, set right on the banks of the Zambezi River. From here, it's but a short walk across the hotel's gardens to Victoria Falls, where the magnitude of this natural wonder reveals itself. Two Night Stay: Royal Livingstone Hotel. BD Day 14. Livingstone, Freedom of Choice. Today, perhaps trace the steps of Dr Livingstone on Chief Mukuni's Village Cultural Tour then visit the Maramba Market. Or enjoy an elephant safari along the Zambezi River. Alternatively, marvel at Victoria Falls from above on a helicopter flight. Afterwards, head back to your hotel and enjoy time at leisure. B Day 15. Livingstone, Johannesburg. Fly to Johannesburg where you will stay overnight before your journey to East Africa. Stay: Johannesburg, D'Oreale Grande Hotel.
