Arrive Cape Town. On arrival in the South African city of Cape Town, be met at the airport and transferred to your five-star hotel. This evening, meet your APT Tour Director and fellow travellers at a Welcome Reception. Three Night Stay: Cape Town, Table Bay Hotel at the V&A Waterfront. Day 2. Cape Town, Freedom of Choice. Today's sightseeing begins with a ride on the aerial cableway to the top of Table Mountain. Enjoy time to admire the beautiful city and ocean views before returning to town. Visit the District Six Museum and the Castle of Good Hope, the oldest surviving colonial building in South Africa. This afternoon, choose to embark on a Constantia Winelands tour. Alternatively, take a ferry to Robben Island, where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned. Or set off on a township tour. Tonight, join an African drumming session before enjoying a meal of Cape Malay cuisine. BD Day 3. Cape Town, Cape Peninsula. Today's journey takes you along Chapman's Peak Drive to Cape Point, a nature reserve within Table Mountain National Park, where the Atlantic and Indian oceans meet. Continue on to historic Simon's Town and see penguins up close at Boulders Beach before returning to Cape Town for the evening. BL TRAVEL THE SCENIC GARDEN ROUTE Day 4. Cape Town, Oudtshoorn. Set off along the Garden Route, stopping to explore the Cango Caves en route to Oudtshoorn. Tonight, enjoy a meal of authentic Karoo cuisine. Stay: Oudtshoorn, Buffelsdrift Game Lodge or Rosenhof Country House. BD Day 5. Oudtshoorn, Freedom of Choice, Knysna. Spend the morning on a meerkat safari or enjoy an elephant feeding experience. Continue your journey to Knysna. Two Night Stay: Knysna, Turbine Hotel & Spa. BD Day 6. Knysna, Featherbed Nature Reserve. Take a ferry to Featherbed Nature Reserve and travel by 4WD to Western Head for panoramic views of Knysna Lagoon. You may like to take an optional bushwalk before a buffet lunch amid the lush forest of the reserve. BL Day 7. Knysna, Port Elizabeth. Continue along the Storms River mouth to Port Elizabeth. Stop at Plettenberg Bay for a whale watching tour, offering you the chance to view these magnificent marine mammals in their natural environment. Stay: Port Elizabeth, Boardwalk Hotel & Spa. B WILDLIFE IN KRUGER NATIONAL PARK Day 8. Port Elizabeth, Kruger National Park. Fly via Johannesburg to Kruger National Park. Arrive at the private game reserve of Sabi Sands in time to enjoy sundowners at dusk. Two Night Stay: Kruger National Park, Lion Sands Tinga Lodge. BD Day 9. Kruger National Park. Travelling through the lodge's private concession on morning and afternoon game drives, you will share the land with very few others, increasing your chance of animal sightings. Your day ends with an intimate boma dinner under the stars. BLD Day 10. Kruger National Park, Johannesburg.
