Tonight, get to know your fellow travellers at a Welcome Reception. Stay (Three Nights): Paris, Les Jardins du Marais. Day 2. Paris. This morning, explore some of Paris' best-loved sights on a city tour. Wander along one of the world's most iconic streets, the Avenue des Champs-Élysées, and marvel at the impressive Arc de Triomphe. A Taste of Paris – ascend the Eiffel Tower, where sweeping vistas and delicious French cuisine await. BL Day 3. Paris. A city of romance and culture, be immersed in the Parisian culture with a visit to the Latin Quarter or the Louvre Museum. Perhaps stroll the Seine River to explore the impressive Gothic cathedral, Notre Dame. B Day 4. Paris, Amsterdam. Say 'au revoir' to Paris after breakfast as you board your coach and traverse the beautiful landscapes of northern France, Belgium and The Netherlands. Arrive in Amsterdam to board your river ship, where 8 Day guests (EUTCM08) join the tour. Dock overnight allowing you ample time to explore the iconic sights at leisure. Clustered by historic houses and studded with low bridges, Amsterdam's network of 17th-century canals lends the city its nickname – 'The Venice of the North'. Today, you'll board a glass-top boat and glide past the city's impressive waterside facades. Back on land, enjoy some free time before travelling by coach via Rembrandt's Windmill, immortalised in the artist's paintings, to Utrecht. From here, your ship will set off along the Rhine as you enjoy a special Gala Dinner. BLD Day 6. Bonn, Drachenburg Castle. Having entered Germany, cruise through Cologne towards Bonn, where you will be able to explore this picturesque city. Like a Local – ride a scenic funicular train to the hilltops and enjoy a visit to the majestic 19th-century Drachenburg Castle, a highly favoured local treasure. During your private tour, absorb the impeccable gardens and have your camera ready to capture views of the surrounding valleys. This evening, enjoy a delicious dinner on board your river ship, then perhaps retreat to the lounge for a nightcap. BLD Day 7. Rhine Gorge, Rüdesheim. Continue cruising to experience a true highlight of the holiday – cruising through the Rhine Gorge, considered by locals to be the most beautiful section of the Rhine River. Watch in awe as steep slopes covered in vineyards and dotted with ancient castles drift past, before your ship docks in Rüdesheim, a Rhine Gorge wine town. Here, the Winzerexpress mini-train will take you through the town to Siegfried's Mechanical Musical Instrument Museum.
