Like a Local – Be greeted by the friendly locals of Wertheim and learn about their culture as you are welcomed into their homes for coffee and cake. Explore this beautifully evocative town perfectly positioned on the confluence of the Tauber and Main rivers, as you discover the town's history dating back to the 7th century. Return to your ship and enjoy time at leisure as you glide along the beautiful Main River. Later this evening, enjoy a superb dinner on board your ship, then watch the glittering lights of medieval towns glide past as you cruise through the night. Along the Main River, your ship is able to cruise the entire journey with ease, courtesy of the ship passing through the Main River's 34 locks. BLD Day 9. Würzburg. Verdant hills and rich vineyards sit on the fringe of Würzburg, while the Main River is a prominent feature of this stunning city. The architectural beauty that further defines Würzburg is on show today as you visit Würzburg Residence, a magnificent palace with its grand staircase, chapel and salon. Here, a walk through Würzburg Court Garden is a delight for both nature and art lovers, with its terraced gardens and water basin encircled by yew trees. BLD Day 10. Bamberg. One of the few German cities that wasn't destroyed during World War II, World Heritage- listed Bamberg beckons this morning. Gain great local insight during a guided tour of the beautiful city centre. Later, your ship will reach the Main-Danube Canal. BLD Day 11. Disembark Nuremberg, Prague. Disembark your river ship for the final time in Nuremberg, where 8 Day guests (EUTCM08) depart the tour with a transfer to Munich airport. For those continuing on the tour, see the site of Hitler's now infamous Nuremberg rallies and learn about the city before heading to the beautiful city of Prague.
