64 Day 1. Arrive Santiago (Chile). Be met at the airport and transfer to your hotel. Enjoy a Welcome Reception later this evening. Stay (Two Nights): Santiago, Atton Vitacura. Day 2. Santiago. Today you'll enjoy a day-trip to the port city of Valparaíso. Tour the World Heritage-listed town centre then take a drive up into the surrounding hills to absorb the stunning vistas of the bay and the colourful city below. Later, return to Santiago and enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure. B Day 3. Torres del Paine National Park. Fly to Punta Arenas and visit a local family- operated Patagonian station for an insight into its daily operation. Afterwards, continue on to Torres del Paine National Park. Special Stay – relax and enjoy magnificent views of the fjords at Hotel Las Torres. Stay (Three Nights): Torres del Paine National Park, Hotel Las Torres. BD Day 4. Torres del Paine National Park. Enjoy a full day exploring the natural wonders and soaking up the beauty of World Heritage- listed Torres del Paine National Park. BLD Day 5. Torres del Paine National Park. Traverse bridges across roaring rivers to discover a sanctuary for many bird species. BLD Day 6. Torres del Paine National Park, El Calafate (Argentina). Today you'll enter Argentinian Patagonia and arrive in the city of El Calafate. Here, pay a visit to the fascinating Glaciarium museum, a modern glacier interpretation centre, where you'll gain an in-depth understanding of the ice and the glaciers. Like a Local – experience Glaciobar Branca, a bar in which everything is made of ice, and enjoy a drink at -10°. Stay (Two Nights): El Calafate, Kosten Aike. B Day 7. Los Glaciares National Park. Arrive in World Heritage-listed Los Glaciares National Park today, an icy region of mountains, lakes and woods. Here, visit the astounding Perito Moreno Glacier, thought to be one of only three glaciers in Patagonia that is growing. Enhance Your Journey: Embark on a trek or enjoy a cruise up close to the Perito Moreno Glacier (see page 67). B Day 8. El Calafate, Buenos Aires. Today fly to Buenos Aires and enjoy free time.
