34 Kimberley Coast Cruise 11 Day Darwin to Broome Expedition Cruise MS Caledonian Sky Day 1. Darwin. Arrive in Darwin and be transferred to your boutique ship, the MS Caledonian Sky, for what promises to be an epic journey. Enjoy dinner on board as you set sail. Ten Night Stay: MS Caledonian Sky. D Day 2. Selaru Island. Sail to the Indonesian island of Selaru. Dock in Fursui and time permitting, discover a spectacular coral atoll that encircles an azure lagoon. This evening, enjoy the Captain's Welcome Cocktails and dinner. BLD Day 3. At Sea. Get acquainted with the facilities of the MS Caledonian Sky and hear interesting lectures as you enjoy a day at sea. BLD Day 4. Wyndham, Freedom of Choice. Today, choose between some of the Kimberley's greatest land attractions. Perhaps cruise the Ord River; tour El Questro Wilderness Park; fly to the Argyle Diamond Mine; or enjoy a scenic flight and land tour of the Bungle Bungle Range (please note, some tours are capacity controlled and will be confirmed on a first come, first served basis). BLD Day 5. Koolama Bay, King George River and Falls. Wake up in Koolama Bay, named after a merchant ship bombed by the Japanese in WWII. Arriving at King George River, the highlight is sure to be King George Falls, the highest single drop falls in Western Australia plunges approximately 80 metres over a magnificent sandstone cliff. BLD Day 6. Vansittart Bay, Jar Island. With your Expedition Leader, walk across salt flats to view the wreckage of a US Air Force DC3 which crash landed on the beach during World War II. Later, visit Jar Island and discover the island's outstanding rock art gallery. See examples of the Kimberley's mysterious Bradshaw (Gwion Gwion) paintings, dating back some 20,000 years. BLD Day 7. Prince Frederick Harbour, Hunter River, Naturalist Island. Arrive at Prince Frederick Harbour, home to soaring red cliffs, green rainforest and mangroves. Explore the Hunter River and Naturalist Island.
