48 Day 14. Geikie Gorge, Broome. Travel to Geikie Gorge National Park and explore the gorge. Flooding of the river has bleached the walls white over time – an intriguing sight that makes it popular with photographers. Board a unique cruise and learn about the Indigenous Banuba people in the area, hear timeless stories from the Dreamtime, discover surprising bush medicines and view sacred sites as the towering Geikie Gorge rock-face passes by. Later, arrive in Broome. Stay: Broome, Cable Beach Club Resort & Spa. BLD Day 15. Broome, Board Ship. Board your expedition ship and enjoy the Captain's Welcome Cocktails as you cruise towards Cape Leveque. Ten Night Stay: Oceanic Discoverer or MS Caledonian Sky. Cruise through beautiful Pender Bay to the secluded Lacepede Islands, the site of one of the most significant Green Turtle breeding grounds in Australia. Discovered in 1801 by Nicolas Baudin, the islands are also a haven for birdlife, 18,000 breeding pairs of Brown Boobies and Roseate Terns reside here. With a spectacular platform reef, you can experience the thrill of nature first hand. Head back to the ship for a presentation into the intriguing and exhilarating Kimberley coast, before enjoying a delicious dinner on board later this evening. BLD Day 17. Buccaneer Archipelago, Talbot Bay, Horizontal Falls. Enjoy the idyllic serenity as you stroll along the white sands of Silica Beach. Head out through the Buccaneer Archipelago, home to more than 800 islands, and arrive at Talbot Bay. From aboard your Zodiac, view the spectacular Horizontal Falls, formed by the region's awe-inspiring and imposing twelve-metre tides. BLD Day 18. Ruby Falls, Raft Point. Cool off with a refreshing dip in the soothing and secluded Ruby Falls of Red Cone Creek. Back on board, you will travel through the stunning Kuri Bay to Raft Point. Board the Xplorer excursion vessel to discover the region's mysterious Wandjina rock art and the intriguing Bradshaw (Gwion Gwion) paintings.
