80 Admire the fertile landscapes of the Pinar del Rio province and see its rounded limestone hills Day 18. Cusco, Lake Titicaca. This morning, board the Andean Explorer for a day-long rail journey into the highlands and on to Puno, reaching up to 4,335 metres above sea level. Two Night Stay: Puno, The Libertador Lake Titicaca, Lake View Rooms. BL Day 19. Puno, Lake Titicaca. Located on the border of Peru and Bolivia, Lake Titicaca is the highest altitude lake in the world. This morning, travel by speedboat to the village of Luquina. Here, visit a special and unique school project organised by APT and spend time with the teachers and pupils. Then enjoy a local village lunch with views of the Capachica Peninsula. This afternoon, cruise to the floating reed islands of the Uros people, which have been built entirely with reeds that grow in the shallows of the lake. BL Day 20. Lake Titicaca, Lima. After flying back to Lima, transfer to your hotel. This evening, delight in an exclusive evening of fine dining and camaraderie at one of the city's most impressive historic homes, Casa Garcia Alvarado. Stay: JW Marriott Hotel Lima, Ocean View Rooms. BD Day 21. Lima, Havana (Cuba). Fly to Havana today, the illustrious capital of Cuba. The city is known for its rich history, lively music, grand architecture, famous cigars, sweet cocktails and of course, classic old American cars. Be met on arrival at the airport and transferred to your hotel, where you'll enjoy a welcome cocktail. Savour a special dinner at a local paladar this evening. Four Night Stay: Havana, Hotel Iberostar Park Central. BD Day 22. Havana. After breakfast, take a ride in a classic American car and feel the rhythm of the city during a guided tour. Visit some of the most famous areas of Havana including New Havana, Old Havana, the Malecón seawall promenade, the affluent neighbourhood of Miramar and the famous Colon Cemetery. Later, explore the city by foot and learn about its historical and colonial past in Old Havana. Visit Cathedral Square, San Francisco de Asis Square and the magnificent Arms Square. All the while, delight in the street theatre and commotion of everyday life along Havana's busy walkways – often the ultimate highlight. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before spending the afternoon at leisure. BL Day 23. Pinar del Rio, Viñales. Set out on a day tour to the beautiful, lush valley of the Pinar del Rio province. In the heart of Cuba's prime tobacco-growing region, Viñales sits quietly surrounded by a number of stunning karst hill formations known as mogotes (pincushions). Visit a cigar factory and learn about the tobacco production process, before continuing to La Cueva del Indio. Here, sail in traditional boats along an underground river, passing through the interior of some of the giant haystack hills. Return to Havana for an evening at your leisure to relax or explore. BL Day 24. Havana, Freedom of Choice. Discover a different side to Cuba on your selected sightseeing activity today. On a Hemingway tour, you'll follow in the footsteps of Ernest Hemingway throughout Havana. Visit the author's house at Finca de la Vigia, the fishing port of Cojimar and some of his favourite hangouts, including Hotel Ambos Mundos, La Bodeguita del Medio and the La Floridita bars, where the mojito and daiquiri cocktails began their journey of conquest. Perhaps embark on an Afro-Cuban Heritage tour and discover the renowned Callejon de Hamel, where the Cuban artist fraternity congregate. Located in the heart of Havana, the alley is brightly decorated with colourful Cuban sculptures, art and paintings. Continue on to the largest arts and crafts market of Havana and browse the local fare. Alternatively, take a fun salsa lesson. There is no better place to learn to dance than Havana! With a world-renowned music and performing arts scene, you'll learn to salsa with the experts. Later this evening, experience the retro atmosphere of a Cuban jazz club, showcasing Cuba's all-star musicians. BLD Day 25. Havana, Lima (Peru). Today, fly to Lima in Peru.
