70 Spend three nights nestled amid the stunning vistas of Llao Llao Hotel & Resort in Bariloche Day 16. Iguassu Falls, Lima (Peru). Today, visit Parque das Aves Bird Park. Walk through the giant aviaries and see the iconic toucan. Later, fly to the Peruvian capital, Lima. Two Night Stay: JW Marriott Hotel Lima, Ocean View Rooms. B Day 17. Lima. This morning, embark on a city tour with a local guide. Visit the World Heritage-listed Historic Centre of Lima and see the Convent of Santo Domingo, one of the best preserved monasteries in the city. Later, enjoy lunch, live music and a graceful Peruvian Paso horse show at a private hacienda. BL Day 18. Lima, Cusco, Chincheros, Sacred Valley. Fly to the World Heritage-listed city of Cusco today, the historic capital of the Inca Empire. On arrival, travel to Chincheros, set in the Andean highlands. During a traditional weaving demonstration, learn how the famously colourful materials of South America are created. Then settle in to one of Peru's most prestigious hotels overlooking a river in the Sacred Valley. Two Night Stay: Sacred Valley, Tambo del Inka, Luxury Collection by Starwood. BD Day 19. Sacred Valley. A full-day tour in and around the Sacred Valley begins with a visit to the colourful markets of Pisac, a hilltop handicraft village that lies near ancient Inca ruins. Later, you'll visit the home of a local family to sample an authentic Andean meal. Afterwards, travel to the spectacular archaeological site of Ollantaytambo. BL Day 20. Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu. Board PeruRail's Vistadome train and travel to Machu Picchu, located more than 2,400 metres above sea level. On arrival at the ruins, set off on a locally guided tour of the iconic Lost City of the Incas. A World Heritage-listed site, it is the most familiar icon of the Inca World. Stay: Inkaterra Machu Picchu Pueblo Hotel. BD Day 21. Machu Picchu, Cusco, Freedom of Choice. Today you'll have the opportunity to beat the morning rush and return to Machu Picchu to experience the site at your own pace. Alternatively, relax and enjoy the comforts and facilities of your hotel. Later, board PeruRail's Vistadome for your return trip from Machu Picchu to Sacred Valley, then transfer by coach to Cusco. Tonight you'll have a choice of restaurants from which to dine. Two Night Stay: Cusco, JW Marriott Hotel. BD Day 22. Cusco. A walking tour of Cusco this morning will take you to the square in the city's historic heart, the Plaza de Armas, as well as the sacred sites of Koricancha and Cusco Cathedral. The afternoon is yours to spend at leisure exploring this timeless city. B Day 23. Cusco, Lake Titicaca. This morning, board the Andean Explorer for a day-long rail journey into the highlands and on to Puno, reaching up to 4,335 metres above sea level. Two Night Stay: Puno, The Libertador Lake Titicaca, Lake View Rooms. BL Day 24. Puno, Lake Titicaca. Located on the border of Peru and Bolivia, Lake Titicaca is the highest altitude lake in the world. This morning, travel by speedboat to the village of Luquina and visit a unique school project organised by APT. This afternoon, cruise to the islands of the Uros people, which have been built entirely with reeds that grow in the shallows of the lake. BL Day 25. Lake Titicaca, Lima. After flying back to Lima, transfer to your hotel. Tonight, enjoy an exclusive evening of fine dining and camaraderie at one of Lima's most impressive historic properties, Casa Garcia Alvarado. Your night begins in the elegant drawing room, where you'll be served hors d'oeuvres and pisco sours. Take a tour of the magnificent residence and soak up its colonial-style interior, before being joined by a member of the Garcia Alvarado family for a delicious Peruvian Farewell Dinner.
