You may wish to step aboard a boat ride safari and take in the breathtaking spectacle of Iguassu Falls from beneath the thundering cascades. Alternatively, embark on an awe-inspiring helicopter ride over the falls. This evening, dine at the Ipê Grill within your hotel. Two Night Stay: Iguassu Falls, Hotel das Cataratas. BD Day 10. Iguassu Falls. Spend time in World Heritage-listed Iguassu National Park on the Argentinian side of the falls. Ride the Rainforest Ecological Train through the forest to a series of walkways and viewing points. Afterwards, return to your hotel, located just a stroll from the falls. B Day 11. Iguassu Falls, Lima (Peru). Visit Parque das Aves Bird Park, set just outside the national park. Visit the World Heritage-listed Historic Centre of Lima and see the Convent of Santo Domingo, one of the best preserved monasteries in the city. Spend a fun afternoon at a private hacienda, where you'll enjoy lunch, live music and entertainment and a graceful Peruvian Paso horse show. BL Day 13. Lima, Cusco, Chincheros, Sacred Valley. This morning, fly to the World Heritage-listed city of Cusco, the historic capital of the Inca Empire. On arrival, travel to Chincheros, set in the Andean highlands. During a traditional weaving demonstration, learn how the famously colourful materials of South America are created. Then, settle in to one of Peru's most prestigious hotels overlooking a river in the Sacred Valley. Two Night Stay: Sacred Valley, Tambo del Inka, Luxury Collection by Starwood. BD Day 14. Sacred Valley. A full-day tour in and around the Sacred Valley begins with a visit to the colourful markets of Pisac, a hilltop handicraft village that lies near ancient Inca ruins. Later, you'll visit the home of a local family to sample an authentic Andean meal. Afterwards, travel to the spectacular archaeological site of Ollantaytambo. Here, spend some time further discovering the Sacred Valley before returning to your hotel to enjoy the evening at your leisure. BL Day 15. Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu. This morning, you'll have the opportunity to beat the morning rush and return to Machu Picchu to experience the site at your own pace. Later, board PeruRail's Vistadome for your return trip from Machu Picchu to the Sacred Valley, then transfer by coach to Cusco.
