Nuwara Eliya. Like a Local – this morning, travel to Peradeniya on board the unique train, Nanu Oya. Travel in style in the observation carriage, taking in superb views of the sublime hill country as you travel in style. Here, visit a tea plantation and try the finest Ceylon tea in the world, before arriving at Nuwara Eliya. This is the most important tea growing region in Sri Lanka, and a place blessed with beautiful landscapes. Indulge in a cocktail at sunset near Gregory Lake. Stay (Two Nights): Nuwara Eliya, Araliya Green Hills Hotel. BLD Day 7. Nuwara Eliya, Horton Plains National Park. Take to a Jeep today to explore the unique flora and fauna of World Heritage-listed Horton Plains National Park, where the main attractions include the World's End and Baker's Falls, a sheer escarpment with a depth of 900 metres. Afterwards perhaps hike to the World's End, or alternatively, transfer to the picturesque Hakggala Gardens and enjoy a short walk. This evening, enjoy time at leisure. B Day 8. Yala National Park. Today, head to the spectacular Yala National Park. On the way, visit the Elephant Transit Home and Ella Gap. This afternoon, learn more about the leopards you're likely to see tomorrow and enjoy lunch. Venture out on a morning leopard safari in Yala National Park, in search of these magnificent creatures. Later this afternoon, travel to Galle, a fortified city built centuries ago by the Portuguese. After a guided sightseeing tour here, you'll continue on to your stunning beach hotel in Ahungalla. With the evening yours to enjoy at leisure, you may wish to explore the city or otherwise take a stroll on the beach. Stay (Two Nights): Heritance Ahungalla. BL Day 10. Ahungalla. Set out on a river boat safari and explore the mangrove caves, where you will enjoy a delicious lunch in the beautiful surrounds. Return to your stunning hotel right on the beach, and enjoy the remainder of the day to relax and unwind. BL Day 11. Colombo. Travel to the Sri Lankan capital, Colombo, home to a diverse range of races, religions and cultures that interweave with a rich colonial heritage. This afternoon, enjoy a guided tour of the city, including the Valukarama Temple and Pettah Bazaar. While on the tour, you'll witness a land of contrasts, with mansions and lush gardens standing next to shantytowns and street markets. Later this evening, enjoy a special Farewell Dinner.
