DAY 2: ARRIVE BANGKOK Upon arrival in Bangkok, you'll be met and transferred to your hotel. (B, L, D) DAY 3: BANGKOK This morning embark on a tour of Bangkok, visiting Wat Pho, one of Bangkok's largest temples. Board a longtail boat for a cruise along Chao Phraya River followed by a visit to the Pak Klong Talaat Flower Market. Later, walk through Chinatown and explore the street stalls. (B, L, D) DAY 4: BANGKOK TO KANCHANABURI Rise early this morning to visit the unique Railway Track Market and Damnoen Saduak Floating Market. Continue to Wang Po and take a train ride on the Death Railway through the Khwae Noi River Valley to Kanchanaburi. Visit the bridge over the River Kwai, built by prisoners of war; the Allies Cemetery; and the War Museum. (B, L, D) DAY 5: KANCHANABURI TO BANGKOK Drive to the Hellfire Pass, constructed during World War II by Allied prisoners of war for the Burma railway. Visit the museum and choose to either hike through the pass or visit the nearby Sai Yok Noi Waterfall. Later, travel back to Bangkok. (B, L, D) DAY 6: BANGKOK – DAY TOUR TO AYUTTHAYA Drive to Ayutthaya, the former Thai kingdom capital city from 1350 to 1767, ultimately destructed by the Burmese. Visit the temple of Wat Phra Si Sanphet, followed by Wat Chai Wattanaram with its interesting construction patterns. Continue to Bang Pa-In Royal Palace with its captivating collection of marvelous pavilions in a variety of Thai, Chinese, Italian and Victorian architectural styles. (B, L, D) DAY 7: BANGKOK TO CHANG RAI This morning, fly to Chiang Rai, the northernmost province. Stop at the Golden Triangle, the point where the borders of Thailand, Myanmar and Laos meet. Enjoy a boat ride crossing the Mekong River to Laos and visit the small market on Don Sao Island. This evening, explore the colorful night market. (B, L, D) White Temple 13-DAY ITINERARY, INDOCHINA Visit this country of beautiful palaces, fascinating temples and ancient ruins. Thailand will delight all who visit with its unique culture, from energetic Bangkok to the war history at the bridge over the River Kwai and the Hellfire Pass. Chiang Rai's nearby tribal villages, an orphanage in Chang Mai and an evening with a local family in Mae Kampong offer an intimate look into local life.
