As your ship departs Pyay, absorb wonderful views of the Akauk Mountains and their river-facing cliff carvings as you cruise onwards to the quiet township of Myanaung. Here, a walking tour will take you past a range of well-preserved colonial houses and on to the bustling local market. BLD Day 11. Zalon. Take in the sights of the Irrawaddy Delta region today as you cruise to the town of Zalon. On a trishaw tour, pass colonial-style wooden houses and large tropical gardens on the way to the Pyi Taw Pyan Pagoda, home to a famous bronze Buddha. BLD Day 12. Danuphyu. Arrive in Danuphyu, where the General Maha Bandula led a Burmese defensive against the British troops during the First Anglo-Burmese War. Other options include a traditional water puppet show; a visit to the home of a local artist; or a bicycle tour past Hanoi's rice fields. Tonight, choose from one of five restaurants for dinner. BD EXPERIENCE HA LONG BAY Day 18. Hanoi, Ha Long Bay, Bai Tu Long Bay. Travel by coach to Ha Long and embark your three-day cruise on Ha Long Bay.
