rexinsider ALL IN THE FAMILY At Rex we've seen many examples of members of the same family working within the company, particularly husband-and-wife teams. On 15 September 2012 we had a father-and-son team working together as pilots. It was a proud day for the Howard family when recent Australian Airline Pilot Academy (AAPA) graduate Casey Howard and his father, Rex Captain Michael Howard, flew together for the first time on flight ZL 668 out of Wagga Wagga. Casey was the first Rex pilot's child to join the cadet program at AAPA and was the recipient of the Chairman's Award for Rex009. We're sure he'll continue to excel under the guidance of his father and other Rex pilots. THE REX STORY – THE FIRST 10 YEARS Take home a piece of aviation history with Rex's 10th anniversary commemorative coffee table book, The Rex Story – The Fi rst 10 Years. Come on a journey through Rex's history, from its origins with Hazelton Airlines and Kendell Airlines, to its inception after the Ansett collapse, through to its acquisition of subsidiaries Pel-Air, Air Link and AAPA. All profits from the sale of the book go towards supporting Country Hope and Can Assist, both in Wagga Wagga. The Rex Story – The Fi rst 10 Years is available in hard cover ($50) and soft cover ($40). To secure your copy, visit Rex Collection at www. regionalexpress.com/rexcollection. IX
