sheila I fashion NICOLE HARDIE Nikki Loueza What is your background? Nikki Loueza was created after seeing a need in the market for a unique and versatile aesthetic with depth and character. We encourage individual style with wearable clothing that can be interpreted in many ways, whilst still appealing to women of all ages. How did you end up where you are today? A series of fortunate events and collaborations really. What plans do you have for the future? In 2013 we plan to launch an e-boutique and travel to new inspiring places. What, to date, has been your biggest failure? 'We don't make mistakes, we do variations.' What, to date, has been your biggest success? Ten months ago we decided to join forces to design and develop Nikki Loueza together. are excited to showcase it at this year's PFF. What items/experiences have inspired you? Travelling together and the unusual items/places/ people we discover along the way. What personal possession do you most covet and why? Right now, we both love our Helena Bogucki Design necklaces that have been custom made for our S/S12 collection, Black White. your current collection/work? Why do you think people have responded so well to your work? attachment to Tim Burton, his art and creative We feel our label has an unusual style, which is still wearable. It evokes women to layer and embrace style over trend. What advice would you give to someone trying to break into your industry? Sleep now... while you still have the luxury.
