DRAFT VESSELS SEMAC SHALLOW
These versatile punts are easy to launch and practical to operate

EMAC Shallow Draft Vessels are a new concept introduced into New Zealand by Bruce de Baugh at Metal Designs Limited in Auckland, because he recognised a new, unique method of building stable, positive buoyant, and near on bulletproof work punts. In Bruce's words, "When we saw this method of extruding alloy planks to be used in small, and not so small work boat punts, plus the pontoon mooring system, we saw
something that had a huge potential locally for the safe construction of a solid work punt. That's not to say these are water slugs either," says Bruce, "as the little buggers can get up and go. Because we already have a strong brand in Commando D tube boats and our 'Facilitator' class fast small barges, we were getting enquiries for work punts from the aquaculture industry, and plumbing and electrical tradesmen who look after the services under wharves.
