Sheree also does MC work and since October 2010 has run video
and audio production company Hiwa Media Ltd with her partner, Vanessa Gray. Sheree is immensely proud of the people of Canterbury for not only
the courage shown through the earthquakes, but also for the talent that the region has produced. "A lot of musos from Christchurch have their own style. There
could be something in the water. Tiki Taane, Anika Moa and Ladi 6 all have different styles, but are all from the same circles. In Christchurch you feel a part of the culture and we all contribute to each other's careers whether it's advice or a collaboration. "I've felt the competitive culture here too, but as a musician,
especially being Maori, I've found a market to help uplift the language." By singing in Te Reo Sheree has also become a role model and
