THAILAnD The Library The Library is a stunning, conceptual hotel created in a semi- minimalist architectural style and was shaped by the hands of an island local who was inspired by books. "The book is never out of date," says Khun Kasemtham Sornsong, the owner of The Library who added, "Time changes. Many things might change but the book is immortal." The Library has a total of 26 rooms or 26 pages, all built in a futuristic style and equipped with modern facilities. Considering that real happiness is not complicated, The Library is based on simplicity where guests can indulge in a unique atmosphere. Not merely a style of architecture The Library is not merely a style of architecture; it offers a service concept that is uniquely different in character from other properties on the island. Each service outlet and accommodation area is equipped with convenient facilities and, at the same time, they provide a touch of nature. This ensures that guests enjoy an impressive, memorable experience and the opportunity to get closer to nature. The rooms are stark yet the pure vibration of the white space washes over guests as relaxation sets in. The sheer absence of stimulation is an effect in itself. There is no clutter, no paintings to irk, no busy prints to agitate or stimulate. The swimming pool was constructed with remarkable vivid red tiles unlike any seen before. One stands transfixed before the sea of red against the sharp, cool edges of white. Viewed from the guestrooms, it presents itself as a surreal painting extending from space. 'Breakfast Culture' breakfast in bed by the sea For the ultimate breakfast in bed experience, lay on one of the crisp white mattresses on the beach—just a step away from the sea—and enjoy the first light of dawn at Chaweng Beach. Gather with friends at the Breakfast Culture Table for food fresh daily from the bakery, chic menus, fresh fruit and juice, hip magazines, and enjoy the unique atmosphere of the east coast at The Page restaurant. Naturally, The Library offers guests a library, said to be the most modern on Koh Samui. This stark white, brightly lit, futuristic space is a reader's dream. A full wall of glass provides natural light that softens and warms the space which has computer workstations and a large, comfortable lounge. If you want to enjoy a relaxing book-reading lifestyle, where real happiness is not complicated, each "page" of The Library is worth reading to indulge your imagination and inspiration. 14/1 Moo 2, Bo Phut, Chaweng Beach, Koh Samui, Suratthani 84320 THAILAND Tel: +66 0 7742 2767 Fax: +66 0 7742 2344 rsvn@thelibrary.co.th www.thelibrary.co.th www.paradisesonline.com 187
