Those seeking tranquillity can take a breather with a walk through Queen Elizabeth Park. B ROCKY MOUNTAINEER RAIL JOURNEY Day 3. Vancouver, Rocky Mountaineer, Kamloops. Relax in your Rocky Mountaineer GoldLeaf carriage as you set out for the rugged wilderness of the Canadian Rockies. Traverse the lush fields of the Fraser River Valley and gaze out at the peaks of the Coast Mountains. Pass Hell's Gate in the Fraser Canyon and glide past rocky slopes as your train follows the Thompson River to Kamloops. Stay: Kamloops, hotel as assigned by Rocky Mountaineer (Kamloops has limited accommodation, two or three-star hotels). BL Day 4. Kamloops, Rocky Mountaineer, Banff. Settle in as your Rocky Mountaineer journey continues east towards the Canadian Rockies. Pass Shuswap Lake and follow along the South Thompson River. Travel through the Spiral Tunnels and traverse Kicking Horse Pass. On arrival in Banff National Park, disembark and head for your hotel.
