MAJESTIC YANGTZE 14-DAY ITINERARY, CLASSIC TOUR Cruise through the incredible gorges, mountain villages, and breathtaking scenery along the Yangtze River after experiencing modern-day China in the vibrant city of Shanghai. See the famous giant pandas in Chengdu, visit historical Xian, and discover China's sprawling capital city, Beijing, known for opulent palaces, temples, and excitement. DAY 1: DEPART THE U.S. Depart on your overnight flight from the U.S. to China. DAY 2: ARRIVE SHANGHAI Upon arrival in Shanghai, be met and transferred to your hotel. DAY 3: SHANGHAI Sightseeing today includes a stroll through the beautiful Yu Gardens and the Old Town, as well as a visit to the Shanghai Museum, which houses over 120,000 pieces of bronze, coins, jade, ceramics, paintings, and calligraphy. Walk along the famous Bund, past its colonial architecture, and explore the restored Xintiandi area with its unique 1920s-style shikumen buildings. In the evening, enjoy a cruise on the panoramic Huangpu River, where the historic Bund and the futuristic Pudong come face to face, and enjoy traditional Shanghai cuisine. (B, L, D) DAY 4: SHANGHAI TO YICHANG – YANGTZE RIVER CRUISE EMBARKATION Visit the modern Pudong area and its 21 st century buildings before flying to Yichang to board your Yangtze River Cruise vessel. Sail through Xiling Gorge, the longest and deepest of the Three Gorges. (B, L, D) DAY 6: YANGTZE RIVER CRUISE Take an excursion through the Shennong Stream, which is narrower than the Three Gorges, before entering the Wu Gorge, taking in forest- covered mountains and cliffs.
