GLORIES OF CHINA 14-DAY ITINERARY, CLASSIC TOUR Explore China's beautiful south along with historical and cultural must-see attractions. The striking landscape along the Li River is the defining highlight of this popular itinerary, complete with an overnight stay in the small town of Yangshuo, surrounded by rice fields and limestone hills. Add the histories of Beijing and Xian along with cosmopolitan Shanghai and you have some of the best experiences that China can offer. DAY 1: DEPART THE U.S. Depart on your overnight flight from the U.S. to China. DAY 2: ARRIVE SHANGHAI Upon arrival in Shanghai, be met and transferred to your hotel. DAY 3: SHANGHAI – DAY TOUR TO ZHUJIAJIAO Start with a visit to Zhujiajiao, one of Shanghai's sleepy water towns. Afterwards see the antiquities of the Shanghai Museum and the Silk Museum before admiring the magnificent architecture with a stroll along the Bund. This evening, enjoy a meal of Shanghai cuisine. (B, L, D) DAY 4: SHANGHAI Today, visit the beautiful Yu Gardens and wander the bustling streets of the old town. View the city at night from the Huangpu River on a panoramic cruise. (B, L, D) DAY 5: SHANGHAI TO GUILIN Fly to the enchanting city of Guilin. This afternoon, visit Seven Star Cave and the adjacent park, home to an adorable panda bear. (B, L, D) DAY 6: GUILIN TO YANGSHUO Cruise the stunning Li River to Yangshuo and witness an astounding landscape of spectacular limestone hills, tranquil fishing scenes, and picturesque villages. Explore this small mountain town, stroll the colorful markets, and people-watch at an outdoor café. (B, L, D) DAY 7: YANGSHUO This morning, discover the beautiful countryside around Yangshuo, with its pretty hills and local farms. This afternoon is at your leisure. Meet again this evening for a display of traditional cormorant fishing. (B, L, D) DAY 8: YANGSHUO TO XIAN Drive to Guilin Airport for your flight to Xian, the ancient capital. In the evening, enjoy a traditional Shui Jiao dumpling meal, followed by a performance of Tang Dynasty dancing. (B, L, D) DAY 9: XIAN Meet the 2,000-year-old Terracotta Warriors today.
