ribbles Veterinary Pathology Ltd is a network of fi ve animal health laboratories committed to providing innovative laboratory services throughout New
Zealand. Our reputation as the country's leading supplier of
veterinary diagnostic testing and pathology services ensures we attract and retain the highest calibre veterinary pathologists, scientists and technicians. Our veterinary laboratories have all been accredited by
International Accreditation New Zealand and are strategically located to provide a local service for New Zealand's animal health professionals. Gribbles Veterinary operates three laboratories in the
North Island (Auckland, Hamilton and Palmerston North) and two in the South Island at Christchurch and Dunedin. Across this network it employs 15 veterinary pathologists, six of whom are registered specialists. Among our team of pathologists are several with a specifi c
interest in aquatic pathology. By drawing on this professional expertise we can offer the aquaculture sector a range of fi nfi sh, shellfi sh and crustacean diagnostic tests, including parasitology, haematology, bacteriology, toxicology, necropsy, histopathology, general health screening and diagnostic interpretation and consultation. We can also provide feed testing and nutritional value analysis via our sister company, Gribbles Labnet, thus offering the sector a comprehensive laboratory service we believe is unrivalled in New Zealand. Our individual laboratories vary in size and throughput,
but in total we process in excess of 130,000 cases per year, mostly from private veterinary practices. Other submissions are tested on behalf of academic institutes, pharmaceutical companies, research organisations, aquaculture enterprises, other animal health laboratories and various government agencies. Gribbles Veterinary was New Zealand's fi rst privately
owned laboratory to be accredited to perform serological and microbiological testing for live animal and germplasm export. The company continues to be accredited under MAF Biosecurity New Zealand's export laboratory programme. We also currently operate New Zealand's only veterinary laboratory accredited for compliance with the OECD Standards of Good Laboratory Practice. Furthermore, all our laboratories participate in a range of local and international quality assurance programmes, ensuring our results are reliable and repeatable. In addition to its New Zealand operation, Gribbles Veterinary also has multiple sites in Australia servicing the Northern Territory, Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia. Most of them have been accredited by the National Association of Testing authorities, Australia. We also have a rapidly growing veterinary business in Singapore.
