QUEBEC - TREMBLANT If the crisp mountain air and adrenaline-pumping sports of the Laurentian Mountains isn't enough to give you an appetite, its Farmlands Route certainly will. A gourmet food trail that runs through 140 miles of glorious countryside filled with wine, cider, mead, apples, cheese, maple syrup and treats, lavender, fruits, and vegetables, its bounty is more than enough to get you back on those slopes, whether by bike, zipline, kayak, or foot. Water sports enthusiasts, horseback riders, and campers set up against six great rivers and 400 lakes and streams, as soon as the weather warms and the beaches and 30 golf courses fill up with visitors. Wildlife lovers set out to find the 40 species of mammals that live in Mt. Tremblant National Park, going so far as to learn the skills of an apprentice falconer. As stunning of an experience as summer travel to Tremblant is, its reputation as a winter destination can exceed it. Named the "#1 Ski Resort in Eastern North America" by Ski Magazine for the past 15 years, this playground for skiers and snowboarders of all levels features 95 trails set on 540-million-year-old rock across 13 ski centers. Nearly 30 miles of snowshoe trails line Diable and Pimbina in the national park; winter trails for fatbiking are a recent addition that will make sure you earn the spa days you'll want to treat yourself to in the pedestrian village below. After all, playing this hard deserves its own reward. 327 0 1/4 miles 0 1/4 km Parc Provincial du Mont Tremblant Golf le Géant Lac Tremblant C h . d e l a C hapell e C h .
