VACATION ENHANCING TOURS Make the most of your vacation, and book your tours before your trip. Everything will be pre-arranged and all you have to do is enjoy! EILAT & PETRA PACKAGE (3 days/2 nights) This package includes: • Two-night hotel accommodations at Dan Eilat • Full Israeli breakfast daily • One lunch in Petra (during tour) The morning after arrival, enjoy a full buffet-style Israeli breakfast before departing for a full-day tour to Petra, which will be guided by a licensed Jordanian English-speaking guide. After a short drive, you'll arrive at the Aravah Border Pass, where you will cross through to Jordan. Upon arriving in Petra, enjoy an afternoon lunch. Here, you will experience Petra, often described as the eighth Wonder of the Ancient World. It is a vast, unique city, carved into the sheer rock face by the Nabataeans. You will be in awe of its natural beauty and outstanding architectural achievements. Entrance to the city is through the Siq, a narrow gorge that is flanked on either side by soaring, high cliffs. A horseback ride through the Siq is included. The Treasury is just the first of the many wonders that make up Petra. There are hundreds of elaborate rock-cut tombs with intricate carvings. Here, you will also view the massive Nabataean-built, Roman-style theater. Late in the evening, return to your hotel for the night. Also visit the beautiful Bahai Gardens, renowned worldwide for their stunning landscaping, as well as Stella Maris church and monastery and the authentically renovated historic German Colony. Akko (Acre) tour – Akko is one of the oldest continually-inhabited cities in the world, and this tour takes you back in time to the maritime capital of the Crusader kingdom, including a visit to the underground Knight's Halls. Add the exciting experience of a walk along the top of the ancient city walls, among very few around the world that have survived violent attacks and battles almost entirely intact.. The tour route also passes through the bustling market street, once the main thoroughfare of the old city and now renovated in authentic Crusaders-era style. Caesarea – this route takes in the original agricultural settlements established from 1886 onwards by Baron Edmond de Rothschild: also the ancient sea port of Caesarea. Catch a glimpse of the Roman era and the rule of King Herod, complete with luxurious palaces, bathhouses and impressive cultural and amphitheater where concerts and rock shows are frequently held today. The tour ends at pastoral Ein Hod, Israel's only designated artists' village, brimming with galleries and exhibitions, sculptures, glass works, ceramics, original designs, gifts and much more. Nazareth & the Sea of Galilee – Enjoy a look at Nazareth's many historic sites that are among the most important in the world of Christianity. The imposing Basilica of the Annunciation was built over the remains of Mary's home. The vibrant old market houses some surprising hidden buildings, ancient mosques, churches and synagogues and the Mount of Precipitation offers a bird's eye view of the surrounding area. The tours also includes, a visit to Capernaum National Park, including the remains of a fishing village from the 2nd temple era. Today it is home to lush green gardens, a boating harbor and a promenade. *Be sure to wear comfortable walking shoes and a hat to protect you from the sun, and always carry plenty of drinking water.
