DAY 2: ARRIVE BEIJING Upon arrival in Beijing, you are met and transferred to your hotel. DAY 3: BEIJING Visit Tiananmen Square and the vast Forbidden City. This afternoon, tour the Temple of Heaven, originally constructed in the 15th century. Enjoy a rickshaw ride through the traditional Hutong district, visit a local home and enjoy a cup of tea with a family. This evening, dine on the famous dish of Beijing, Peking duck, at the famed Quanjude Restaurant. (B, L, D) DAY 4: BEIJING Feel a sense of awe as you walk along the Great Wall of China. Return to Beijing and visit Dowager Cixi's Summer Palace, one of the most important works of landscape design. This evening, watch a famous Beijing acrobatics performance and enjoy dinner at the popular Rose Town Restaurant. (B, L, D) DAY 5: BEIJING TO XIAN Fly to Xian and tour the lively Muslim Quarter. This evening, feast on a traditional Shui Jiao dumpling banquet at the well-known De Fa Chang Restaurant and enjoy a performance of music and dance dating back to the Tang Dynasty. (B, L, D) DAY 6: XIAN Visit one of the most important archaeological discoveries of the 20th century, the Terracotta Warriors. The figures were created 2,000 years ago to accompany Qin Shihuang into the afterlife. Later, we walk on the Ancient City Wall.
