DAY 9: XIAN TO WUHAN – YANGTZE RIVER CRUISE EMBARKATION Fly to Wuhan and transfer to the city of Yichang, where you will board our Yangtze River cruise vessel for the next four nights. (**Yangtze River Cruise itineraries and excursions are subject to change due to water levels, river conditions and cruise line. Alternate excursions may be substituted at the discretion of the cruise company and cannot be guaranteed.) (B, L, D) TOUR DATES & RATES DAY 10: YANGTZE RIVER CRUISE Visit the site of the Three Gorges Dam, the largest water conservancy project ever undertaken. Back on your cruise vessel, sail through Xiling Gorge. (B, L, D) DAYS 11-12: YANGTZE RIVER CRUISE Take an excursion through the Daning River Small Gorges before entering the Wu Gorge. Continue on through the Qutang Gorge, the shortest, narrowest and most dramatic gorge. The next day's shore excursion is to Fengdu, the Ghost City. Walk through the town, observing statues of ghosts and devils on Mingshan Hill. (B, L, D) DAY 13: DISEMBARK CRUISE – CHONGQING TO GUILIN Disembark from the cruise vessel and transfer to Chongqing to visit the adorable pandas at the Chongqing Zoo. Later, you will transfer to the airport for our flight to beautiful Guilin. (B, L, D) DAY 14: GUILIN TO YANGSHUO Cruise the stunning Li River to Yangshuo and witness the breathtaking landscape of spectacular limestone hills, tranquil fishing scenes and picturesque villages. Explore this small mountain town, stroll the colorful markets and people watch at an outdoor café. (B, L, D) DAY 15: YANGSHUO This morning, you discover the beautiful rural countryside around Yangshuo, with its pretty hills and local farms. The afternoon is at leisure. You meet again this evening for a display of traditional cormorant fishing. Upon arrival, you transfer to your hotel. (B) DAY 17: HONG KONG Start the day exploring the Kowloon Peninsula and Hong Kong Island, visiting the Jade, Flower and Bird Markets and Wong Sai Temple. You continue with a trip to Stanley Market and on to Aberdeen Fishing Village. You finish the day with a panoramic ride that brings us up to Victoria Peak for unbeatable views of the harbor and city skyline. (B) DAY 18: HONG KONG – DAY TOUR TO LANTAU ISLAND Start the day with a ferry ride through Victoria Harbor to Silvermine Bay, Lantau. Visit Cheung Sha Beach and Tai O Fishing Village to view the homes built on stilts. Drive up a winding mountain road to visit the Giant Buddha Exhibition Hall, Po Lin Monastery and Ngong Ping Village. End the day with a ride on the Skyrail cable car. You return to Hong Kong for an amazing dinner at the top of Victoria Peak. (B, D) DAY 19: HONG KONG TO US Discover the scenic contrasts on a tour of the New Territories, also known as the Land Between. Visit the Yuen Yuen Institute and drive past banana plantations, stopping at the lookout point of Tai Mo Shan, Hong Kong's tallest mountain. Continue through the lush green Plover Cove Country Park to Sam Mun Tsai Fish Zone to observe their unique fish breeding traditions. Transfer to the airport for your overnight flight to the US.
