JAMAICA Nestled in the warmth of the Caribbean Sea, Jamaica is an unrivalled tropical destination whose intoxicating culture and remarkable beauty makes for a unique island escape. With a moderate climate and a landscape that ranges from tropical rainforest and soaring mountains to rolling meadowland and dramatic coastlines, Jamaica is a land of adventure, sophistication and elegance. From adventurous palates to adrenaline junkies, newlyweds to nature-lovers, Jamaica caters to everyone, and guarantees an unforgettable experience. Jamaica is also known for its unique Caribbean cuisine. Somehow, everything that grows in Jamaica seems just a little sweeter, just a little more flavorful. Maybe it's the sun, maybe it's the touch of love they put into planting and cooking. To ensure visitors can get an opportunity to experience this firsthand, Jamaica recently launched the Jerk Trail, which provides an island-wide sampling of this cuisine and the secret recipes the cooks hold near and dear. The history of Jerk cuisine along with its evolution, from roadside stand staple to menu at top restaurants, makes this a very interesting story, and one which all travelers are invited to explore. Jamaica's 12 courses attract players from around the world, with the five championship courses in Montego Bay all within close proximity of each other. Jamaica is a land of adventure, and a range of new and expanded attractions have added a new dynamic to the destination. Rainforest Bobsled Jamaica at Mystic Mountain in Ocho Rios boasts over 100 acres of land stretching from the coast road entrance near Dunn's River Falls to over 700 feet above sea level at the peak of Mystic Mountain. This environmentally friendly attraction for all ages provides ample opportunities to view and explore the unique seaside, tropical forest ecosystem with three unique, exhilarating excursions including: Rainforest Sky Explorer, Rainforest Bobsled Jamaica and Rainforest Zip-line Tranopy Tour. From the seductive beaches to the tempting cuisine, Jamaica has also touched the world through its music—reggae. Made popular by the legendary Bob Marley, reggae music has transcended national boundaries and has captivated mankind beyond the Caribbean shores through its conscious lyrics replete with messages of peace and love.
