18 | First Time Ocean Voyage Guide SPACES TO LINGER Everyone has a favourite spot on a Viking ship. It could be the airy Atrium with its grand piano and giant images of Edvard Munch artwork. Or perhaps it is the upper level of the Explorers' Lounge, with panoramic views of the journey ahead and a trove of antiques. For others, it could be the warmed ceramic beds in The Nordic Spa, or the main pool with its retractable roof open to the sun, or one of the dining venues—traditional afternoon tea in the Wintergarden or a lavish Tuscan dinner in Manfredi's Italian Restaurant spring easily to mind. The Living Room, showcasing the ship's chic and serene Scandinavian style, will get plenty of guests' votes—as will Torshavn®, the intimate, lively music venue where the Viking Band plays jazz and danceable rock classics.
