This collection plays a major role in securing the foundation of our future food supply. Once we reached the Norwegian coast, we knew we were sailing towards somewhere very special. Few landscapes can compare to the peaceful grandeur of Norwegian fjords. Our first stop was Honningsvåg, a pristine bay of the Barents Sea. We joined the picturesque drive to one of Europe's most stunning natural sights, Nordkapp, or North Cape. Located on the reaches of Magerøya Island where the Norwegian and Barents Seas meet, the cliffs of Nordkapp rise more than 305 m from the sea waters, and are topped by a large, flat plateau. The views from here are spectacular. One of our favorite places was Tromsø, Norway's most northerly city (located only 350 km, from the Arctic Circle). The city is known as the "Gateway to the Arctic." World-renowned explorers have set sail from Tromsø's shores, including Roald Amundsen, Norway's first son and the first explorer to reach both poles.
