During the European summertime, there are many wildflowers still in bloom. Most famous at this time of the year is the fragrant fields of lavender throughout Provence in France. Visit this region during its flowering season that spans from mid-June to mid-August, with the peak bloom usually occurring in July, to witness fields awash with the distinctive purple of lavender.
