STEP INTO THE PAST Immerse yourself in ancient Egypt's rich history while climbing the museum's impressive Grand Stairs. Monumental statues of ancient Egyptian kings and queens grace the steps, each stair revealing a new historic treasure. Peruse the architectural elements of Egyptian temples, learn about ancient Egypt's funerary customs, and delve into the divine with impressive monuments that have found their home on these magnificent stairs. JOURNEY WITH THE GOLDEN PHARAOH Explore the life and death of King Tutankhamen as you venture through a collection of artefacts showcasing his identity, reign and passage into the afterlife. On display, you will find King Tutankhamen's Royal Diadem, Golden Throne, and Golden Burial Mask, amongst other treasures from his tomb. UNCOVER ANCIENT CUSTOMS Discover the funerary customs of the ancient Egyptians with relics from the past. As you tour the museum, you will encounter King Khufu's Boats. These 4,600-year-old-vessels hold within them rich stories from antiquity. Widely thought to be either used as transportation vessels during King Khufu's funeral or intended for the King's otherworldly journey through the afterlife, these historic boats are a sight to behold.
