At Viking, we are conscious of our responsibility to
the environment and the regions through which
we sail; thus, our ships are designed to the highest
environmental standards. Our long-term success
depends on our ability to develop programs
that meet or exceed both the global regulatory
frameworks as well as local regulations in the most
vulnerable areas we explore, such as the Norwegian
fjords or the Alaskan coastline.
Our vessels, though dependent on shoreside
infrastructure and supplies, operate as self-sustained
entities, capable of providing electricity, water and
waste treatment facilities. The careful management
to minimise our environmental footprint is
essential and all our vessels are designed to be
environmentally responsible and efficient to operate.
While each vessel class has specific operational
