LUXOR &
KARNAK TEMPLES
Egypt's spiritual capital, Luxor, is an
enthralling blend of historic significance,
architectural feats and vibrant market
culture, characterised by its temples and
richly decorated tombs. Often referred
to as one of the world's greatest open
air museums, historic Luxor, built upon
the once-powerful city of UNESCO-listed
Thebes, is home to the imposing Temple
of Karnak—among the world's largest
temple complexes—and the well-
preserved Temple of Luxor, a spectacular
example of Egyptian architecture.
