The largest river port in the state, its rural setting has spawned a vibrant music and artistic heritage. We feasted on delicious catfish, pulled pork, coleslaw and banana pudding—all included as part of the complimentary shore excursion. My favourite spot to take in the view was up on Deck 5 at the Sun Terrace, relaxing on one of the lounges, evening cocktail in hand. By the time the sun disappeared from view each night, I was ready to sit down for some hearty American classics at the River Café.
