In keeping with our Nordic heritage, The
Nordic Spa on board our ocean ships are
designed with Scandinavia's holistic wellness
philosophy in mind. This approach to living
combines a connection to nature, a healthy
lifestyle and mindfulness; finding synergy
between physical, mental, emotional and
social being.
In our unique, Nordic-inspired Snow
Grotto, cold snow and chilled air create an
invigorating experience in a serene and
crisp environment. When used together,
our steam room and Snow Grotto ar tfully
re-create the centuries-old Nordic tradition
of alternating hot and cold treatments, for an
exhilarating result. This tradition runs deep in
Scandinavian culture, with the first wooden
saunas introduced around the 5th centur y.
The Thermal Pool is ideal for long, relaxing
soaks that soothe the muscles and ease
the mind. These are contemplative spaces
reflecting the beauty of the natural world,
with teak furnishings, mineral-rich black slate,
fragrant juniper wood and white pigmented
ash wood inspired by Yggdrasil, the fabled
Tree of Life in Norse my thology.

day at sea, The Spa is a sanctuar y of Nordic
wellness, and it is all included in the price of
your fare.
A menu of optional spa treatments is also
