DISCOVER NUUK'S INUIT CULTURE
Visit the cultural center of Greenland at the Katuaq
Cultural Center and discover more about Inuit
traditions. This modern piece of architec ture takes
inspiration from Greenland's dramatic scener y and
ser ves as a meeting place for Inuits from all over the
nor thern hemisphere.
MOUNTAIN HIKE
Lace up your boots and set of f on a hike as you take
in the views of Uummannaq's hear t-shaped
mountain and rugged landscapes. Explore the rock y
barren landscapes, dot ted with colour ful set tler
houses and keep your eyes peeled for local wildlife.
WATCH FOR WHALES
Sip a morning cappuccino while you scan the
horizon for whales. Open, light-filled spaces
optimised for viewing can be found throughout
your ship. Our onboard marine biologists will help
identif y whales and provide a fascinating insight to
their unique at tributes.
ZODIAC CRUISE
Keep watch for local marine and wildlife, and
admire coastal landscapes and rugged clif fs while
your experienced helmsman navigates the waters
and through the inlets that surround Pond Inlet
know as "the Jewel of the Nor th" it's a panoramic
mix of glaciers, icebergs and rugged mountains.
BIRD -WATCHING
Grab your binoculars and scan the landscape for
the many species of migrator y birds that flock to
the region, including black-legged kit tiwakes and
greater snow geese. Join our onboard ornithologists
on the obser vation deck s to learn more about the
local birdlife.
VISIT THE SISIMIUT MUSEUM
View open air exhibits at the Sisimiut Museum; see
a collec tion of 18th- and 19th- centur y buildings and
learn about Inuit culture. Visit a reconstruc ted
house made of peat and experience how locals lived
more than 100 years ago.
