The waters of Kenai Fjords National Park are home to sea ot ters, porpoises, sea lions and a variet y of whale species, including killer whales. Admire the park 's many glaciers, and get an up - close view of the looming face of one of these ic y giants. MIST Y FJORDS OF KETCHIK AN Fly deep into Alaska's pristine wilderness and witness some of its most spec tacular scener y from the air. From your window seat, appreciate the dramatic landscape below you, craf ted by nature's hand over tens of thousands of years. Mist y Fjords is home to an abundance of wildlife; keep your eyes peeled for sightings of bald eagles, Sitka black-tailed deer, and brown and black bears. KODIAK ISL AND BEAR WATCHING Venture into the rugged Alaskan wilderness to observe the hulking Kodiak brown bear. Set off by seaplane to your bear-watching destination. Depending on the season, you may fly to Katmai National Park & Preserve or along the Katmai coast. Upon arrival, head to an observation point from which you will be able to safely view the bears. WILDLIFE CRUISE & FIN ISLAND LODGE Cruise the waters around Sitka in search of local wildlife en route to a delicious Alaskan feast. Keep watch for sea otters, whales, seals, brown bears and more as you head for Fin Island Lodge. Upon arrival, witness a fish filleting demonstration, then indulge in a hear ty lunch of Alaskan king crab, wild salmon and prime rib. Travel to the Shunkaen Bonsai Museum, founded by renowned bonsai ar tist Kunio Kobayashi. This living museum displays a collec tion of 2,000 bonsai-related ar tefac ts. Later, tr y on a kimono, a traditional garment worn on special occasions, or prac tice the ancient ar t of calligraphy or origami. SEWARD, AL ASK A, UNITED STATES Seward enjoys a magnificent setting between snowcapped peaks and Resurrection Bay, a pristine harbor ringed by mountains. The Alaskan city was named after Abraham Lincoln's secretary of state who defied public opinion to pursue the purchase of Alaska from Russia. Seward is steeped in marine culture, from its busy fishing port to the excellent exhibits and preservation efforts of the Alaska SeaLife Center.
