Round-up
Get there
Corinna is just under 2.5 hours' drive
from Burnie, or about four hours' drive from
Launceston. Part of the road is unsealed but
is fine for 2WD vehicles.
Access to Corinna township from the south
is via the 'Fatman' barge, which crosses the
Pieman River.
Stay
Corinna offers accommodation in eco wilderness
retreats and a range of historic huts. Huts are solar
powered, the site uses tank water and all waste is
removed from the site, preferably by guests.
Stay three nights and pay for two for visits until
September 30, 2013. Three nights in a queen cabin
for $520 or a family cabin for $740 includes a daily
breakfast hamper with hot Cobb loaf and a 30%
discount on the Arcadia II river cruise.

Eat & Drink
Have a drink at the Tarkine Hotel, which also
houses Tannin Restaurant, serving upmarket
pub grub using locally sourced ingredients
for lunch and dinner – get in early. Order your
breakfast hampers from here, too. This is really the
only place to eat in the area unless you bring your
own food. The Tarkine Hotel stocks basic supplies.
There is a communal undercover barbecue area.
Check with staff regarding group barbecue nights
or to order packs to cook up for yourself.
