In celebration of their highly anticipated new album
Delta, Shapeshifter announce a national tour
throughout July. Recorded in Berlin, Woodhill and
Wellington and incorporating elements of the
'heavy soul' tempered with drum and bass, jazz and
funk that fans have become accustomed to, Delta
sees Shapeshifter stretch their palette even further,
adding club tempo feels and other more slanted elements
into the mix, while at the same time pushing the man/machine interface
that drives their music to new heights. While there is possibly no such
thing as a 'typical' Shapeshifter album, all of their output shares a common
thread - a willingness to experiment above and beyond genre confines.
