New Airservices CEO visits Wagga facilities
On 29 November 2012, the CEO of Airservices Australia, Margaret
Staib, together with Airservices management, visited Wagga Wagga
to attend the 2012 Airservices Technical Graduation at TAFE NSW
Riverina Institute.
Ms Staib commenced her role as CEO of Airservices in
September 2012, and this was a great opportunity for the Rex
Group to give the team from Airservices a special tour of the
Rex and Australian Airline Pilot Academy (AAPA) facilities in
Wagga Wagga. Rex's Wagga Wagga-based GM Network Strategy
and Sales, Warrick Lodge, hosted the Airservices delegation.
The special guests from Airservices received a tour of all the Rex
Group facilities in Wagga Wagga and took morning tea in the AAPA
dining room, where Mr Lodge presented the Airservices management
team with a signed edition of Rex's 10th anniversary coffee-table book.
The guests were also treated to an AAPA flight simulator display, and
Mark Rodwell (formerly of Hazelton Airlines) from Airservices was able
to showcase his piloting skills from the safety of AAPA's ground floor.
Ms Staib and the Airservices management team were very
impressed by what they saw and appreciated the opportunity to see
the Rex Group facilities while visiting Wagga Wagga.
