Or perhaps set off on an First Nations cultural cruise. Watch as a special guest chef uses fresh seasonal ingredients from the market to prepare your meal right before you. BD ROCKY MOUNTAINEER RAIL JOURNEY Day 3. Kamloops. Today you'll board the famous Rocky Mountaineer and relax in the comfort of your GoldLeaf carriage as you set out into the mountains. View the towering snow-capped peaks of the Coast Mountains; pass the thundering waters of Hell's Gate in the Fraser Canyon; and glide past the steep rocky slopes as your train follows the Thompson River on the way to the city of Kamloops. Stay: Kamloops, hotel as assigned by Rocky Mountaineer (Kamloops has limited accommodation – two or three-star hotels). BL Day 4. Spiral Tunnels, Banff. Today your Rocky Mountaineer rail journey continues east towards the Canadian Rockies. Journey past Shuswap Lake and along the South Thompson River; see the Spiral Tunnels; and traverse Kicking Horse Pass, which takes you across the Continental Divide of the Americas and into Alberta. On arrival in Banff National Park, disembark and head for your iconic hotel. Two Night Stay: Banff National Park, The Fairmont Banff Springs – stay in a BL Fairmont Gold Room. CANADA'S AWE-INSPIRING ROCKIES Day 5. Banff, Freedom of Choice Sightseeing & Dining. After breakfast this morning, select from a range of unique activities. You may like to set off on the Banff Experience – which includes a visit to the Cave and Basin National Historic Site. Alternatively, take a float trip or go paddling down the beautiful Bow River; relax at the Willow Stream Spa; or enjoy a cruise on Lake Minnewanka.
