Lancaster. Dine at the top floor of your hotel this morning, enjoying breakfast and incredible views of the falls. Afterwards, head across the border into the USA. Continue on to Lancaster in Pennsylvania. Stay: Lancaster Marriott at Penn Square. BD SM SPECTACULAR NIAGARA FALLS Day 9. Niagara Falls. Journey to the township of Niagara-on-the-Lake this morning, and enjoy time at leisure to explore. Later, head for Niagara Falls, three separate waterfalls that straddle the border between Canada and the USA. On arrival here, perhaps embark on an optional helicopter flight over the falls (own expense). See the plunging waters from a number of vantage points then enjoy a cruise to take in the falls from up close. This evening is then yours to enjoy at leisure. Stay: Hilton Niagara Falls Fallsview. Following breakfast, embark on a guided city tour that includes a trip up to the LookOut level of the CN Tower – an icon of the Toronto skyline and the tallest free-standing structure in the Western Hemisphere. Afterwards, continue through Baltimore on the way to Washington DC, the US capital. Tonight, dine at the Old Ebbitt Grill – an historic bar and restaurant located near the White House. After a tour of the United States Capitol building, depart Washington DC bound for Philadelphia. Here, among other attractions, a city tour includes the Liberty Bell as well as Independence Hall, where America's founding fathers signed the Declaration of Independence. Afterwards, continue on to arguably the most famous city in the world – New York. After checking in to your hotel in Midtown Manhattan, enjoy dinner. On a guided city tour today, you'll visit Arlington National Cemetery – a famous military resting place established during the American Civil War. You'll also see the White House and visit the National Mall, home to such attractions as the Washington Monument, the Lincoln Memorial, the new Martin Luther King Memorial and several war memorials – including the Vietnam Veterans Memorial and the National World War II Memorial. After the tour, the remainder of the afternoon is yours to enjoy at leisure. B THE BIG APPLE Day 14. New York City. During a guided tour of Manhattan this morning, take in landmarks such as Fifth Avenue, Times Square, Broadway's Theatre District, the Lincoln Center, Greenwich Village, Soho, and the Financial District including Wall Street. You'll also enjoy the chance to ride the Staten Island Ferry for a close-up view of the Statue of Liberty, the widely-celebrated symbol of freedom and hope. Enjoy lunch at the well-known Katz's Day 15. New York City. Today, perhaps explore the Metropolitan Museum of Art, one of the three largest art museums in the world. Alternatively, head to the Museum of Modern Art, considered to be among the most influential museums of its kind. Afterwards, you may like to take in a Broadway show (own expense). Alternatively, enjoy the rest of the day at leisure to soak up the sights and sounds of New York.
