Moscow. This morning's tour of Moscow takes you to Red Square, where you'll visit the incredible St Basil's Cathedral. Cruise along the Moscow Canal on the way to the Volga River, and dock in the historic Golden Ring city of Uglich. On a guided tour, visit the Chambers of Prince Dimitri and the Church of St Demetrios on the Blood. BLD RUSSIA'S GOLDEN RING CITIES Day 6. Volga River, Yaroslavl. Today stop in another Golden Ring city, Yaroslavl. Founded by Prince Yaroslav the Wise in 1010, this is one of Russia's oldest cities, tracing its roots back to the Vikings. Here, a sightseeing tour illuminates the city's history through its glorious architecture, including a fortified 12th century monastery and the Yaroslavl Museum of Russian Art. BLD Day 7. Goritsy, White Lake, Volga-Baltic Waterway. Today, dock in Goritsy, a small and peaceful farming town. Your guided tour here includes a visit to the Monastery of St Cyril on the White Lake and its Museum of Icons. Later, continue cruising onto the White Lake and the Volga-Baltic Waterway. BLD a local Russian family for traditional pastries and a unique glimpse into their everyday lives. Tonight, enjoy a spectacular ballet performance at the famous Hermitage Theatre, one of the most renowned theatres in the world.BLD THE WONDERS OF KIZHI ISLAND Day 8. Lake Onega, Kizhi Island. Situated on Lake Onega, Kizhi is home to some of Russia's most amazing wooden architecture. Explore the open-air museum of wooden buildings and marvel at the World Heritagelisted Transfiguration Church, built in 1714 without a single nail. BLD Day 12. Neva River, St Petersburg, Hermitage Museum. Take a thrilling Hydrofoil ride over the waters of Neva River to the State Hermitage for a tour of one of the oldest and largest museums in the world. Forming part of the Winter Palace, it's home to Russia's royal art collection of more than three million works. This afternoon, a sightseeing tour will take you to such attractions as St Isaac's Cathedral, the Nevsky Prospect, Palace Square and the Peter & Paul Fortress. BLD Day 9. Svir River, Svirstroy, Lake Ladoga. After cruising through the night, dock in the tiny village of Svirstroy. Visit the home of Day 13. Disembark Ship, Depart St Petersburg.
