Arrive Prague. On arrival in Prague today, you'll be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is then yours to enjoy at leisure. Three Night Stay: Prague, InterContinental Prague or similar. Day 2. Prague. A sightseeing tour of Prague this morning includes a visit to World Heritagelisted Prague Castle, Saint Vitus Cathedral, the Old Town Square and the Prague Astronomical Clock. Following the tour, enjoy the rest of the afternoon at leisure. Tonight, perhaps enjoy a optional folklore dinner show (own expense). B Day 3. Prague. Today you'll enjoy an entire day at leisure to relax or further explore the attractions of Prague. Perhaps join an optional excursion to the infamous Terezín Concentration Camp Memorial or take an optional excursion to Lobkowicz Palace (both at own expense). B Day 4. Prague, Karlovy Vary, Nuremberg. After breakfast this morning, board a coach and travel through the Czech countryside to the spa town of Karlovy Vary. After time to look around, continue on to the historic German city of Nuremberg, where 8 Day (EUD08) guests join the tour on arrival. Board your luxurious river ship and settle in to your suite before a special Welcome Dinner this evening. Seven Night Stay: a luxurious Aria or Concerto river ship. BD 134 Day 5. Nuremberg. This morning, you may like to discover several of the key historic landmarks of wartime Germany, during a World War II tour of Nuremberg. Alternatively, take a guided medieval tour of the city, including the 900 year-old ramparts that surround Nuremberg, the Imperial Castle, the Kaiserburg Fortress and much more. At lunch, re-board your river ship and continue cruising along the Main-Danube Canal. Arrive at the highest point of the cruise, 435 metres above sea level, and cross Europe's Continental Divide. BLD Day 6. Regensburg. Arrive in Regensburg this morning, one of Germany's best-preserved medieval cities. Disembark for a walking tour that includes the Old Town Hall, the city centre and Porta Pretoria, the gates to a Roman fort built in 179 AD. Alternatively, take a tour of the Audi Museum (subject to availability). After your selected activity, enjoy free time and perhaps join a guided bicycle tour to the temple of Walhalla, a monument dedicated to distinguished Germans. Or take an optional excursion to Weltenburg Abbey in the Danube Gorge (own expense). BLD Day 7. Passau, Linz. This morning arrive in the 2,000 year-old city of Passau. Walk the cobblestone streets of the Old Town on a tour, and see St Stephan's Cathedral. Alternatively, take an excursion to Salzburg, the birthplace of Mozart, and enjoy a guided tour of the city's famous 'Sound of Music' sights (own expense). After dinner on board, perhaps step out for a stroll through the Austrian city of Linz. BLD Day 8. Melk, Vienna. Cruise to the Wachau Valley this morning and disembark your ship for a tour of Melk Abbey. Located high above the town of Melk on an outcrop overlooking the Danube, the abbey has the rare distinction of surviving as an active Benedictine monastery continuously since its foundation. Afterwards, re-board your ship and continue to Vienna, the capital of Austria. Tonight after dinner, enjoy time at leisure or perhaps take in an optional Mozart and Strauss concert (own expense). BLD Day 9. Vienna. Famed for its striking architecture, classical music and vibrant café culture, Vienna is a truly delightful place to explore. This morning, savour the elegance of the city during a guided city tour. See Hofburg Imperial Palace, the Vienna Opera House, St Stephen's Cathedral, the Ringstrasse and more. Then, during time at leisure, perhaps take in an optional tour of Schönbrunn Palace (own expense). Later, continue your cruise along the Danube, heading towards Budapest. BLD Day 10. Budapest. Cruise in to Budapest, the Hungarian capital. Take a tour that includes historic Buda Castle, the distinctive Fisherman's Bastion, the Royal Palace and St Stephen's Basilica. Afterwards, enjoy time at leisure to relax or explore the city independently. Tonight, take in the sparkling lights along the river banks as your ship cruises through the city. BLD Day 11. Disembark Ship, Depart Budapest. Disembark your ship and transfer to the airport for your onward flight. B
