Istanbul, Freedom of Choice. This morning is yours at leisure to explore Istanbul at your own pace. Later, enjoy your selected sightseeing activity. Perhaps tour Topkapi Palace; relax with a Turkish bath experience and massage; or visit the Rüstem Pasha Mosque and the Spice Bazaar. Then, head to the Chora Museum, an old Byzantine church that houses some of the world's most amazing frescos and mosaics. After your visit, indulge in a unique dinner of Ottoman-style dishes, accompanied by Ottoman music. BD Day 4 (Wed. 23 April). Istanbul, Çanakkale. Depart Istanbul today, and travel along the Gallipoli Peninsula to Çanakkale. Stay: Çanakkale, Kolin Hotel. BLD Day 6 (Fri. 25 April). Anzac Day Dawn Service, Anzac Cove, Gallipoli Peninsula, Istanbul. As the sun breaks at Anzac Cove, take part in the sombre occasion of the traditional Anzac Day Dawn Service and commemorate our fallen ancestors at 5.30 am. Bear witness to the moving service in remembrance of the ANZACs who stood on the same ground 99 years ago. For those who wish, take the opportunity to walk to Lone Pine for the Australian service (please note that this can be a difficult 2.5 kilometre walk of around one hour on both flat and uphill pathways). Alternatively, view the Australian service from your position at Anzac Cove via telecast on the big screen. Then, perhaps attend the New Zealand service at Chunuk Bair. This morning, enjoy a cruise along the Bosphorus, a narrow strait forming a boundary between Europe and Asia. As part of the only passage between the Black Sea and the Mediterranean, the Bosphorus has always been of commercial and strategic importance. Later, take a tour of the city, seeing Taksim Square, the hippodrome and Galata Tower. You'll also explore the Byzantine Hagia Sophia and visit the impressive Blue Mosque. B GALLIPOLI & DAWN SERVICE Day 5 (Thurs. 24 April). Gallipoli National Park. Travel to Gallipoli National Park for a tour of the war memorials, including Lone Pine, Chunuk Bair and the 57th cemetery. This evening, return to Anzac Cove to settle in for the Dawn Service. Here, you will be accommodated in a secure outdoor area featuring live broadcasting from Australia and New Zealand, interviews and musical performances. Our experienced guides will accompany you throughout the evening. Stay: Gallipoli Peninsula (facilities are limited and crowds will be large.
