These terms and conditions ("Conditions") form part of the contract between You and Viking River Cruises Australia Pty Ltd (ACN 131 274 372) and Viking Cruises Inc. (together referred to as "Viking Cruises") ("Contract") and by making a booking, You agree to accept and be bound by the Conditions, together with any additional terms and conditions contained in and/or applicable to the Passenger Ticket Contract, any applicable air travel ticket., and any other ancillary documentation provided to You as part of the Contract. 1.2. If You make the Booking for and on behalf of another person, You represent to Viking Cruises that you have the authority to make the Booking on the other person's behalf and to legally bind them to the terms of the Contract. NOTIFICATION 2.1. Information contained in brochures, website or advertising collateral produced by and provided to You for and on behalf of Viking Cruises ("Viking Advertising") is not an offer or a contract. 2.2. Whilst every effort is made by Viking Cruises to ensure that the information contained in the Viking Advertising is correct to the best of our knowledge at the time of printing, Viking Cruises is not responsible for omissions, printing and/or presentation errors and reserves the right to make corrections as required. You must ensure that you check all details of your chosen itinerary at the time of booking. Check for the most up-to-date prices, terms and conditions. BOOKINGS 3.1. To make a reservation, contact Viking Cruises on 138 747 (Australia) or 0800 447 913 (New Zealand) or call your local travel agent. 3.2. All bookings will only be accepted at the Australian dollar advertised price and must be booked through our Australian office or agents in Australia or New Zealand. 3.3. To confirm the booking, a non-refundable cruise-only deposit of $500 per person, or a non-refundable cruise plus Viking Air deposit of $1,500 per person is required within 3 days of making your booking or your reservation will be canceled. 3.4. When more than one cruise is booked as part of the same booking, the Deposit is to be paid in relation to each cruise. 3.5. Payment of the balance of the Tour Price (being the full cost of Your Tour as specified on the invoice provided to you at the time of booking) is due no later than 120 days prior to your cruise/tour departure date (unless otherwise stated or within 3 days of booking if cruise/tour departure date is within 120 days of sailing). 3.6. All bookings are subject to cancellation if payments are not received by the due date or paid as per payment instructions. Please contact Viking Cruises for payment instructions. 3.7. Upon full payment of the Tour Price, Viking Cruises agrees to arrange for the provision of the services as described in the itinerary for your cruise plus any land tour and air component and all product, excursions or tours purchased through Viking Cruises (as may amended by us from time to time - see clause 23) ("Your Tour"). 3.8. Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Electronic Funds Transfer are all acceptable forms of payment. Please contact Viking Cruises for payment instructions. 3.9. Important Notice: Promotions or offers may have different payment terms, please refer to the offer conditions specified when making the booking. PRICING 4.1. Limited Offers and fares are subject to availability, for new bookings only and additional restrictions may apply. 4.2. All prices are per Guest in Australian dollars based on double occupancy and are only available for sale to Australian and New Zealand residents. 4.3. Adjustments for currency and/or fuel fluctuations may apply. 4.4. Prices do not include airfares to and from your destination (except where specified, such as a Viking Air airfare), airport/ departure taxes, passport and visa fees, meals or drinks other than those indicated in your itinerary, optional shore excursions/tours/concerts and airline excess baggage charges. Overnight accommodation required before or after Your Tour is not included in the Tour Price. 4.5. Viking Cruises reserves the right to correct, revise or omit pricing, dates or offers throughout the season without prior notice. Promotional offers in relation to airfares booked in conjunction with a Viking Cruise itinerary through the Viking Cruises Australian office or authorised agent ("Viking Air ") are strictly limited, subject to applicable conditions and availability and may be withdrawn at any time. 5.2. A non-refundable deposit of $1,500 per person is required to secure the Viking Air booking. Viking Air airfares include all government fees, taxes and air fuel surcharges. Seasonal charges may apply. 5.3. Viking Air bookings are non-refundable, non-changeable, non-transferrable and not redeemable for cash and/or cruise credits. 5.4. Viking Cruises is responsible for payment of government fees, taxes and air fuel surcharges separate to your booking therefore at no point will these be refunded to you by Viking Cruises. 5.5. Viking Air flights are available from selected major Australian & New Zealand gateway cities, for travel to selected European and Asian gateway cities and with select airline carriers. 5.6. Viking Air bookings cannot be processed until you have completed the Guest Information Form including correct name as per passport and all passport information. This can be completed at 5.7. Viking Cruises acts as a booking agent for the airlines. Viking Cruises does not guarantee that you will be on the same carrier/flight as others in your travel group. Full airline airfare restrictions (including airline baggage restrictions), conditions of carriage and airline terms and conditions will apply. Refer to applicable airline for full terms and conditions. 5.8. Viking Air flights may be currently out of the system date range at the time of booking. Once flights are scheduled, Viking Cruises will confirm flight itinerary and will issue an updated invoice and air itinerary. 5.9. Airline schedules are subject to change without notice. Viking Cruises is not responsible for additional charges and or amendments which may be incurred due to airline schedule changes. CANCELLATION POLICY 6.1. For any booking, whether under deposit, partially paid, or paid in full, the following situations are considered cancellations and cancellation charges will apply as noted below: changes to departure date; substitutions of itinerary; substitution of another person for original booked Guest(s); or changing to a promotional fare. All cancellations must be in writing. The following cancellation charges will be assessed for all written cancellations received prior to departure of the cruise or flight (as the case may be) up to the scheduled time of departure. You may also be liable to pay cancellation fees to airlines and other third parties. Please ensure you check the conditions at the time of booking. CHANGES 7.1. Once the Deposit has been paid, any changes are subject to a $50 per person charge per change. Viking Cruises reserves the right to accept or reject any change requests in our absolute discretion. See clause 6 under Cancellation Policy for additional details on situations which are classified as cancellations rather than changes. DOCUMENTS 8.1. Viking Cruises will issue documents to you approximately 3 weeks prior to departure. All Guests are required to fill out a Guest Information Form (GIF) within seven (7) days of making the booking. GIF can be completed on TRANSFERS 9.1. When international airfares are purchased from Viking Cruises, airport transfers are complimentary if air arrival and departure dates coincide with the first and the last day and destination of the cruise itinerary. If Guests arrive and depart on different dates to these or have independently arranged flights, then airport transfers are not included. 9.2. Airport transfers are also complimentary when pre and/or post hotel package extensions are purchased in conjunction with a cruise and air arrival and departure dates coincide with the first and the last day and destination of the hotel package extension. 9.3. There is no cash refund for unused airport transfers. Guests who are not arriving or departing the destination on the first and/or the last date of the cruise itinerary or who have independently arranged flights will have to make their own way to the vessel at their own expense. TRAVEL DOCUMENTATION/VISAS 10.1. Passports, visas, vaccinations and any other travel documentation are your sole responsibility. 10.2. All Guests must have passports valid for six months following disembarkation and necessary visas when boarding. Guests are advised to check with their travel agent or the Australian or New Zealand Consulate Service to determine which documents they must obtain. If incorrect documents are obtained, Guests may be unable to participate in particular shore excursions and may be denied boarding and/or entry into certain countries. 10.3. Note: Due to airline security measures, your passport name must match your airline ticket name or you may be denied boarding. Viking Cruises accepts no responsibility for obtaining required visas or for advising Guests of passport, visa or other immigration requirements. HEALTH 11.1. You must ensure you are aware of any health requirements for your travel and ensure that you carry all necessary vaccination documentation. Guests are advised to check with their doctor or travel agent to determine if any vaccinations or health documents are required. 11.2. You must consider the possibility (particularly if you are prone to motion sickness) that in the event of adverse conditions requiring changes to the itinerary (see clause 23 below), you may be required to board another form of transport, such as a bus or train. CHILDREN/MINORS 12.1. Due to the nature of our cruise itineraries, Viking Cruises does not maintain facilities or services for children aboard river cruise vessels. We do not maintain facilities or services on our ships for individuals under the age of 18 years. For all cruise tours, You must be 18 years old on or before the day you are scheduled to embark on the cruise tour. GUESTS REQUIRING SPECIAL ATTENTION 13.1. You must report any physical, emotional, mental or other medical condition requiring special attention to Viking Cruises at the time the reservation is made. Guests requiring special attention must be accompanied by an able person to assist them. 13.2. All vessels and motor coaches are equipped to European standards. Most transportation services, including the vessels and motor coaches, are not equipped with elevators or wheelchair ramps. For safety reasons, Guests in wheelchairs cannot be carried on ramps in ports where the vessel is at anchor. 13.3. Viking will make reasonable attempts to accommodate the special needs of disabled Guests, but is not responsible in the event it is unable to do so nor is it responsible for any denial of services by vessel operators, air carriers, hotels, restaurants or other independent suppliers, or for any additional associated expenses. 13.4. We regret that we cannot provide individual assistance to a holiday participant for walking, dining, getting on and off vessels, motor coaches and other vehicles, or other personal needs.
