Day 2. Zurich, Lucerne. After a morning tour of Zurich, travel by coach to Lucerne, set on the shores of Lake Lucerne. Tonight, enjoy a special Welcome Dinner at a folk restaurant, where cow bells, costumes and yodelling bring your evening to life alongside delicious traditional food. Two Night Stay: Lucerne, Renaissance Hotel. BD Day 3. Lucerne. Today, set out on a cruise over the waters of Lake Lucerne. Afterwards, ride the steepest cog-wheel train in the world to Mt Pilatus, enjoying the sweeping alpine views along the way. B Day 4. Lucerne, Montreux. Depart Lucerne and travel to Montreux today. Upon arrival, enjoy a guided tour. Stay: Montreux, Fairmont Le Montreux Palace. BD Day 5. Montreux. Today, travel to Broc, home of the Cailler-Nestlé chocolate factory. Here, observe chocolate production and enjoy samples, then continue to Zermatt, at the northern base of the famous Matterhorn. Electric cars and horse-drawn sleighs and carriages are the only transport permitted, ensuring that the alpine air is exceptionally clean. Two Night Stay: Zermatt, Grand Hotel Zermatterhof. BD Day 6. Zermatt, Freedom of Choice. Today, ride the Gornergrat Railway, which climbs past Swiss stone pine and larch forests to an incredible viewing area. At the Gornergrat, absorb breathtaking views of alpine peaks, including the Matterhorn. Back in Zermatt this afternoon, enjoy a choice of activities. Perhaps enjoy a guided walk through the forested alpine region surrounding Zermatt. Alternatively, visit the Matterhorn Museum to learn about the history of the mountain and Zermatt itself. B Day 7. Zermatt, Andermatt, St Moritz. Board the Glacier Express on one of Europe's most scenic rail journeys. Enjoy uninhibited views of mountain lakes and pristine forests of the Swiss Alps. Disembark in Andermatt and continue the famous winter resort, St Moritz. Stay: St Moritz, Kempinski Grand Hotel des Bains. BLD Day 8. St Moritz, Innsbruck. Travel to the Austrian ski resort of Innsbruck. On a walking tour, see its impressive Bergisel Ski Jump. Stay: Innsbruck, Hotel Europa Tyrol. BD
